I don't have any stains appearing and yet I have task in my pipe. I can't create a new task either, the button is grayed out.

you need to select a project before creating any new tasks

Okay, thank you for your info, the project should be directly selected like in the demo on 16, I went through the gantt icon while on the project. I looked at the demo version and it directly selects the right project.
