Sorry, I have a correction. The refresh call was needed!

It just happened that I was accidentally triggering a React useEffect hook that had refresh functionality in it.

So I was indeed running a refresh. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the confirmation. That is expected in the current version. In the next version, mutating the eventRenderer will schedule a refresh.
