As you may have already heard, there is new data protection legislation being introduced in the EU called “General Data Protection Regulation” (GDPR). The new set of laws come into effect on May 25 2018. The main purpose of the new GDPR laws is to give citizens a better understanding of how/where their data is being used, and to have more control over the data. After the laws come into effect, you can request to obtain, correct, or delete any personal data held collected by companies you communicate or do business with.
