Nickolay Platonov was a senior software developer at Bryntum from 2011 to 2025 and the company's first employee. He built the early versions of the Gantt and Scheduler components and established the internal engineering practices the team still works to, including test driven development and continuous integration. He also worked on site with customers in Silicon Valley, the UK, and Sweden. From 2017 he led the rewrite of the products' business logic layer using reactive computation and TypeScript mixins, an approach that splits scheduling rules into separate files and holds performance without hand tuning, and he led a small team through the launch of a new version of Bryntum Gantt. The core of that work was open sourced as ChronoGraph.
