Our state of the art Gantt chart
Hi!
I'm interested in using As Soon As Possible (ASAP) and As Late As Possible (ALAP) constraint types in the new Gantt.
I came across this thread from 2019 -- viewtopic.php?f=52&t=11491&p=61641&hilit=as+late+as+possible#p61641 -- is there any news on when we might expect the constraint types to be available?
If it won't be ready for a while, would there be a way to override the current scheduling logic to do something similar?
We have a use case for toggling specific tasks between ASAP and ALAP to evaluate dependency structures.
Thanks!
Thanks for the quick reply! Having the ASAP/ALAP support at the individual Task level is exactly what we're looking for - I'll keep an eye on that GitHub issue.
Hi! Just wanted to check in on this - we're really excited to deprecate our Ext Gantt integration in favor of the modern Gantt, but we're blocked until ALAP is available per-task
I saw it ended up on the 4.2.0 milestone list - is there a timeline for when it might be implemented?
Hi mnowakowski,
We plan to release 4.2.0 version in 2-3 months.
Hello again! Any updates on this one? It's still a blocker for us releasing our cool new version of the gantt.
We haven't forgot about this topic. We made few attempts to implement the feature but no success so far I'm afraid.
Adding support of this will require major refactoring and thus will take a lot of time which we can't yet squeeze in our current development process.
We'll try to get back to this in Q4
Hi folks! Sorry to keep bothering you, but do you have any updates on this one?
Not yet I'm afraid. We still remember of that task and discuss it from time to time. But at the moment the priority for us is task split feature and calendars editing UI which will take Q1 I think. So it looks Q2 is the closest potential time we can get to the topic. Unless something more critical pops up again.
