STICKY: Support policy + How to ask for help

When asking for help, please remember to include as much information as possible. Remember to use the debug version of the underlying framework (i.e. ext-all-debug.js) to get readable error messages. Here's what we need:


  • Ext JS version
  • Our component version
  • Browser version, OS
  • Step by step description
  • Any debugging you've done so far
  • Detailed error message if applicable
  • Full test case with code in CODE tags, zipped or link to online live example (Fiesta preferred). Never include server side code, we cannot offer review or support of such code. No PHP, C#, Java files etc. Test cases should be runnable without any server code.
  • Screen dumps

A proper test case only includes the framework, our code and the code necessary to reproduce the issue. Any other 3rd party JS/CSS should be removed.

The more information you provide, the faster the response will be.
